Proton therapy is a cutting-edge and advanced radiation treatment method for tumors in the world, which can be described as a "cancer killer". Superconducting cyclotrons play a pivotal role in superconducting proton therapy, while this technological method has been monopolized by foreign countries for many years. The HFCIM team has worked hard for 8 years and developed the first domestic medical superconducting proton cyclotron independently which can produce 240 MeV beam energy, achieving full coverage of proton therapy to treat tumors.

"Right now in the world, we are the only supplier to provide the proton cyclotron of this kind" said Ding Kaizhong, deputy general manager of HFCIM. He also expressed the hope of promoting this product to all over the world in the future to benefit more patients.
