Recently, the reporter learned that Chuzhou has a complete photovoltaic industrial chain including the largest film production enterprise in the world, the global leading photovoltaic module company, and also photovoltaic companies providing supporting infrastructures, components and energy storage. Following the footsteps of "solar energy", Chuzhou is seizing the advantages and opportunities in scientific and technological innovation of the photovoltaic industry, so as to build the "City of Photovoltaics".

As of June, the zone has 11 photovoltaic and energy storage enterprises above designated scale, and achieved a cumulative output value of more than 25 billion yuan from January to June, with a year-on-year growth of more than 40%. In terms of annual output value, it is expected that there will be 2 enterprises with 10 billion yuan, 1 enterprise with 5 billion yuan to 10 billion yuan, and 2 enterprises with 1 billion yuan to 5 billion yuan.

"We will strive to improve our services, make the photovoltaic industry bigger and stronger, and help Chuzhou achieve the goal of 'City of Photovoltaics' at an early date." Wang Mingyang, deputy secretary of the Party working committee of Chuzhou Economic and Technological Development Zone, said that in the next three years, the zone will stand firmly in the top 50 national economic and technological development areas, and the total industrial output value of enterprises above designated scale will exceed 200 billion yuan.
