Located in Chizhou City, Anhui Province, Jiuhua Mountain is one of the four sacred Buddhist mountains in China and enjoys the reputation of being “the Land of Buddha with Lotus Flowers”. As an integration of natural landscape and Buddhist culture, the scenic area has imposing peaks, odd-shaped stones, a sea of clouds, sunrise, rime and Buddhist light, representing a myriad and stunning scenery.

Famous for worshipping Ksitigarbha, Jiuhua Mountain now has 99 existing temples, nearly 1,000 monks and nuns, and more than 10,000 Buddha statues. Jiuhua Mountain is home to many eminent monks, and 15 corporeal bodies of Buddhist monks have been discovered there from the Tang Dynasty (618-907) to the present, 5 of which are available for visitors to see. In the humid climate, the well-preserved body has become a mystery in life science, which has also attracted widespread attention from the society and added a solemn and mysterious color to Jiuhua Mountain.
