Sanhe Ancient Town is located in Hefei City, Anhui Province, about 40 kilometers south of the downtown. It was named after three rivers flowing through the town, namely, Fengle River, Hangbu River and Xiaonan River. With a history of more than 2,500 years, the town took shape in the Spring and Autumn Period (770 BC - 476 BC), and Sanhe town was set up in the Ming (1368-1644) and Qing (1644-1911) Dynasties. Featuring an ancient water town, Sanhe Ancient Town has become a wonder in the area between the Yangtze River and the Huaihe River.
