Luling Lake in Suzhou has long had the nickname "Pingtian Lake of Northern Anhui". Sulu Road cuts straight across the lake, sitting low over the water like it is floating on the waves.

Bright blue water reflects the sky above. Tall reeds sway softly in the breeze, and white egrets glide smoothly just above the surface.

This land was once barren, unused ground left from past coal mining activity. Today it has grown into a quiet, beautiful wetland full of birds and plant life.
