Since the operation of Ningma Intercity Rail Line, known as Nanjing-Ma'anshan Line or Nanjing Metro Line S2, direct travel between downtown areas of Nanjing and Ma’anshan takes only 30 minutes, making cross-provincial commuting a reality. Adopting the joint construction, joint management and joint operation model, Line S2 realizes the integrated ticketing system, unified fares and one-card access for metro services in both cities. It not only facilitates daily trips for cross-provincial commuters, but also effectively boosts the two-way flow of talents, resources and industries, continuously advancing in-depth integration between the two cities.
