
The Yangtze finless porpoise, known as the "smiling angel" of the Yangtze River, is now making a quiet comeback. These lovely creatures were rarely seen several years ago, and now can be spotted more frequently along the riverbanks. It’s not a miracle, but a fruit of long-term efforts—daily patrols, persistent guardianship, and the people who have chosen to stay and live in harmony with the river.
