The 2025 Fuyang Cultural Festival in Xiaoxian County, Suzhou, Anhui, is not only a food feast but also a grand cultural event. At the opening ceremony, young calligraphers and painters from Xiaoxian County, including Chen Zhaohui and Zou Guanghui, created their artworks on stage. Zou Guanghui painted an image of red chili peppers, symbolizing “colorful agriculture” and a prosperous life of people, while Chen Zhaohui produced a series of traditional Chinese paintings featuring sheep —vivid and lifelike. Dong Zhengfu, chairman of the Xiaoxian County Calligraphers Association, renowned for his cursive script, remarked that the greatest cursive writing lies in expressing emotions through the work, showing classical charm while embracing innovation and personal style at the same time.
