At the age of 13, Wang Qin was admitted to the Anhui Huangmei Opera School with outstanding results in 1991. Even as a student, she stood out for her emotionally rich and delicately nuanced performance style. In 2013, she won the 26th Plum Performance Award for her role in the brand-new large-scale stage play Half Moon. On March 17, 2025, Wang Qin made the list of the sixth batch of national-level representative inheritors of intangible cultural heritage “Huangmei Opera”.
