In August, a beautiful ecological landscape of clear waters and green banks unfolds by the Shun'an River in Tongling, Anhui. Under the blue sky and white clouds, flocks of egrets either soar over the blue waves or perch on the grassy beaches. Together with the shuttling ships, the clear rivers and the green grassy banks, they form a beautiful ecological picture.
As a tributary of the Yangtze River, Shun'an River is a provincial-level Happy River and Lake in Anhui and was selected into the national Happy River and Lake construction project last year. Over the years, the local government has earnestly implemented the Yangtze River protection policies, leading to the continuous improvement of the river ecology. At the estuary where the Shun'an River flows into the Yangtze River, the beautiful ecological scenery has attracted flocks of egrets to forage and inhabit here.
