Lingjiatan Site Museum to Open on May 16 in Anhui

The Lingjiatan Site Museum in Hanshan county, Ma'anshan city, Anhui province will open for trial operations on May 16, according to a press conference held by the National Cultural Heritage Administration in Beijing on May 9.

With an exhibition area of about 4000 square meters, the museum will showcase around 1100 pieces (sets) of cultural relics, with many of them displayed to the public for the first time. A great number of jade artifacts with regional features and characteristics of the times will be exhibited, including jade figures, jade dragons, and jade eagles. By integrating modern technologies, it offers a panoramic display of ancient ancestors’ remarkable achievements in planning and construction, jade artifact production, and artistic creation, providing the public with a new perspective on the origin, formation, and early development of Chinese civilization.
