The Experimental Advanced Superconducting Tokamak (EAST), known as the "artificial sun", set a new world record by achieving a steady-state high-confinement plasma at over 100 million degrees Celsius for 1,066 seconds in Hefei, Anhui, attracting attention from the global scientific community. This milestone not only showcased Anhui's sci-tech strength but also marks a rise in China's sci-tech development. From quantum communication to artificial intelligence, and from new energy vehicles to biomedicine, Anhui's sci-tech innovation has provided solid support for fostering new quality productive forces and offered its momentum to China’s development.
