Ciao is the name of an Italian restaurant in Hefei. With the increasing number of foreigners, more and more foreign eateries are lighting up the city's nightscape. In Italian, Ciao means "hello", and sometimes, a simple greeting can lead to a connection between people. 

Just like Francesco from Italy and Richie from Scotland, they met on the streets of Hefei. In 2019, they opened Ciao with a Chinese exchange student in Hefei. The restaurant serves as a window into the human tapestry, where behind the everyday interactions of different cultures lies mutual recognition and integration of cultural values.
