With the melody lingering in the air, Emperor's Female Son-in-law, a classic piece of Huangmei Opera, has ignited passion both on and off the stage in the Wu Family Ancestral Hall in Laotian Village, Jiuhua Town, Jiuhua Mountain Scenic Area.

With a history of over 2,000 years, Laotian Village was included in the list of China's traditional villages. In recent years, the local government has made great efforts to develop Laotian ancient village and restore the Wu Family Ancestral Hall where a free Huangmei Opera performance is held every week. It not only enriches the cultural life of local people but also integrates cultural elements such as ancient villages, intangible cultural heritage, and folk customs into rural tourism, driving the local economic development.
