Anhui Province plans to transform the Greater Huangshan Region (including the entire regions of Huangshan, Chizhou, Anqing, and Xuancheng cities) into a world-class leisure, vacation, and wellness tourism destination by 2033, continuously polishing the brand of "China's Huangshan, the World's Huangshan."

The Greater Huangshan Region is not only rich in outstanding traditional Chinese culture such as Hui studies, Huangmei opera, and the "four treasures of the study", but it also boasts a collection of world-class tourism resources including Huangshan Mountain, Jiuhua Mountain, Tianzhu Mountain, and Xidi and Hongcun villages. The area features 5 national-level historical and cultural cities, 227 A-rated scenic spots, and more than 9,000 ancient residences and villages, with unique advantages in natural ecology, cultural heritage, and market space.

By 2033, the Greater Huangshan Region will achieve a gross production value of 1.4 trillion yuan, welcoming over 670 million domestic tourists and generating more than 790 billion yuan in tourism revenue.
